Core Christian Beliefs About God
Christians believe God has several key qualities that make Him unique and all-powerful. Omnipotence means God is all-powerful and can do anything, while being merciful shows He's willing to forgive people's mistakes. He's also just (completely fair) and omnibenevolent .
God exists in two ways according to Christian belief. He's immanent, meaning He's present in everyday life and involved with the world. He's also transcendent, existing beyond our physical world and in spiritual realms we can't fully understand.
The Genesis creation story tells how God made everything in seven days, resting on the seventh. This story begins with "In the beginning God created the heavens and earth," showing Christians that God is the ultimate creator of everything.
