Your 20-mark essay breaks down into 8 knowledge marks, 6 analysis marks, 4 evaluation marks, and 2 synoptic marks. Think of it as showing off everything you know whilst building a convincing argument.
You'll need 5 or 6 clear sections: an introduction, 3-4 PEEAPEEAL paragraphs, and a strong conclusion. The key is maintaining an overall line of argument that directly answers the specific question you're tackling.
Your introduction should be concise—just 2-3 sentences max. Start with context about why the topic matters, then clearly state your overall argument (to what extent/how effective), and finally mention the 3-4 factors you'll discuss in your main paragraphs.
