Raziskovanje Vzhodne Evrope: Glavne države in njihove značilnosti

Splošni pregled Vzhodne Evrope
Predstavljaj si ogromno ravnico, ki se razteza skoraj do obzorja - to je Vzhodnoevropsko nižavje, največja ravnina v Evropi. Tu živijo trije veliki sosedje, ki so bili nekoč del iste države.
Vse tri države povezuje slovanska kultura in skupna preteklost v Sovjetski zvezi (1922-1991). Ko se je ta velika država razdelila, so Rusija, Ukrajina in Belorusija postale samostojne.
Celinsko podnebje je tukaj glavni šef - to pomeni vroča poletja, ko se znojiš kot nor, in zime, ko zmrzuje, da se ti dih spreobrne v meglo. Padavin ni ravno veliko, zato je življenje včasih precej trdo.
Zanimivost: Vzhodnoevropsko nižavje je tako veliko, da bi lahko vanj postavil cel kup manjših evropskih držav!
Geografske značilnosti in naravni pasovi
Tukaj se narava res pokaže v vsej svoji moči! Na skrajnem severu se razprostira tundra - svet brez dreves, kjer je zemlja večino leta zamrznjena kot ledena kocka.
Južneje se začne tajga, največji gozd na planetu! To so neskončni iglasti gozdovi, polni smrek in borov, ki pokrivajo velik del severne Rusije. Če bi hotel peš prečkati tajgo, bi potreboval več mesecev.
Na jugu pa se znajdeš v stepi - travnatih ravnicah z najdragocenejšim zakladom regije: črnozjomom. To je super rodovitna črna prst, ki je kot zlato za kmete.
Permafrost v tundri pomeni, da je zemlja globoko pod površjem stalno zamrznjena. Zato tam ne moreš graditi hiš ali gojiti hrane - preprosto premrzlo!
Pomembno za test: Zapomni si vrstni red od severa proti jugu: tundra → tajga → stepa!
Rusija - energetska velesila
Rusija je absolutni rekorder - največja država na svetu! Razprostira se čez dva kontinenta, Evropo in Azijo, ki ju loči gorovje Ural.
Večina Rusov (okoli 80%) živi v evropskem delu, ker so tam življenjski pogoji precej boljši kot v mrzli Sibiriji. Moskva je glavno mesto in srce države.
Rusko gospodarstvo je kot velika nafta črpalka - nafta in zemeljski plin iz Sibirije prinašata ogromne dobičke. S plinovodi pošiljajo plin po celi Evropi in so tako postali prava energetska velesila.
Kmetijstvo je možno samo na jugu, kjer ni tako mrzlo. Sever je preveč mrzel za pridelavo hrane, zato tam ljudje živijo predvsem od ribolova in lova.
Ključna informacija: Rusija je energetska velesila predvsem zaradi ogromnih zalog nafte in plina v Sibiriji!
Ukrajina - žitnica Evrope
Ukrajina je druga največja evropska država z izjemnim strateškim položajem ob Črnem morju. Njen največji zaklad ni zlato ali diamanti - je črnozjom!
Ta super rodovitna črna prst pokriva večino države in omogoča pridelavo ogromnih količin žita. Zato Ukrajino imenujemo "žitnica Evrope" - pridelujejo pšenico, koruzo in sončnice za pol sveta.
Dneper je glavna reka, ki teče skozi celotno državo in mimo glavnega mesta Kijev. Ta reka je kot glavna avtocesta za ladijski promet.
Vzhodni del države (Donbas) skriva železovo rudo in premog, zato so tam zgradili velike jeklarne. Ukrajina je tako pomembna tako za kmetijstvo kot tudi za težko industrijo.
Za test si zapomni: Ukrajina = črnozjom = žitnica Evrope!
Belorusija in skupne značilnosti regije
Belorusija je najmanjaša od treh in edina brez dostopa do morja. Je izjemno ravna država, polna močvirij, jezer in gozdov.
Gospodarsko je najbolj odvisna od Rusije, ker nima toliko naravnih bogastev. Izdelujejo traktorje in tovornjake, pridelujejo pa predvsem krompir in lan. Minsk je glavno mesto.
Nesreča v Černobilu (1986) je močno prizadela jug Belorusije. Radioaktivni oblak je povzročil dolgotrajne posledice, ki so vidne še danes.
Vsa tri naroda govorijo podobne vzhodnoslovanske jezike in imajo skupno kulturo. Sovjetska zveza jih je povezovala 69 let, njeno zapuščino pa občutijo še danes.
Ključno za razumevanje: Vse tri države so si podobne zaradi skupne zgodovine, a ima vsaka svojo posebnost - Rusija energetiko, Ukrajina kmetijstvo, Belorusija pa je najbolj odvisna od drugih.
