Azija: Največja Celina na Svetu

Azija - celina velikih nasprotij
Predstavljaj si celino, kjer lahko v enem dnevu vidiš najvišje gore na svetu in najnižje depresije. Azija je prav to - prostor neverjetnih kontrastov, kjer živi več kot polovica človeštva.
Zaradi svoje velikosti in rastočega gospodarstva ima Azija ključno vlogo v svetu. Tu nastajajo telefoni, ki jih uporabljaš, tu žive najuspešnejši podjetniki, a tudi najmanj razvite skupnosti.
Monsuni so periodični vetrovi, ki delujejo kot naravni klimatski sistem. Poleti prinašajo vlagozdstol z morja (to je čas dežja), pozimi pa pihajo suhi vetrovi s kopnega. Ti vetrovi so ključni za kmetijstvo - brez njih ne bi bilo riža na naših krožnikih.
💡 Zanimivost: Azijski tigri so države, ki so v nekaj desetletjih postale gospodarske velesile. Prvotni tigri (Južna Koreja, Tajvan, Hong Kong, Singapur) so pokazali, da je mogoč hipen razvoj!
Vzhodna Azija - tehnološka velesila
Tu najdemo najgostejšo poselitev na svetu in hkrati najbolj napredne tehnologije. Kitajska, Japonska, Severna in Južna Koreja ter Tajvan tvorijo regijo velikih nasprotij.
Japonska in Južna Koreja sta postali vodilni v avtomobilski in elektronski industriji. Tvoj pametni telefon verjetno vsebuje komponente iz teh držav. Kitajska pa je "svetovna tovarna" - drugo največje gospodarstvo sveta, kjer nastaja večina izdelkov, ki jih uporabljamo.
Pomembne so velike reke kot sta Huang He (Rumena reka) in Chang Jiang (Jangce). Na obalnih nižavjih živi ogromno ljudi, vendar so pogosti tudi potresi in cunamiji, predvsem na Japonskem.
💡 Pozor za test: Severna Koreja je popolnoma drugačna - izolirano, centralnoplansko gospodarstvo, medtem ko ostale države uspešno tekmujejo na svetovnem trgu.
Južna Azija - dežela monsunov
Indijska podcelina je dom skoraj 2 milijard ljudi! Na severu jo omejuje mogočna Himalaja, na jugu pa se razprostirajo velika rečna nižavja ob rekah Ind, Ganges in Brahmaputra.
Monsuni so tu še posebej pomembni - od njih je odvisno kmetijstvo in preživetje milijonov ljudi. Če monsun ne pride ob pravem času, lahko nastane lakota.
Indija postaja vedno pomembnejša v IT storitvah in farmaciji. Tu nastajajo programske rešitve za cel svet! Vendar se regija še vedno spopada z revščino, prenaseljenostjo in pomanjkanjem vode.
Kulturno je to izvor hinduizma in budizma. Velika verska pestrost včasih povzroča napetosti, še vedno pa je v Indiji prisoten kastni sistem.
💡 Pomembno: Indija bo kmalu prehitela Kitajsko po številu prebivalcev in postala najbolj poseljena država na svetu!
Jugovzhodna Azija - tropski raj z izzivi
Ta regija leži na stiku tektonskih plošč, zato jo imenujejo tudi "Ognjeni obroč". Tu so številni vulkani in potresi, a hkrati tudi čudovita tropska narava.
Celinski del (Mjanmar, Tajska, Vietnam...) se razlikuje od otoškega dela (Indonezija, Filipini, Malezija...). Vsepovsod prevladuje ekvatorialno in tropsko podnebje z veliko padavinami.
Ekonomsko so to "mali tigri" - države z hitro rastočimi gospodarstvi. Singapur je postal globalno finančno središče, druge države pa so pomembne za kmetijstvo (riž, palmovo olje), rudarstvo in turizem.
Države sodelujejo v ASEAN - združenju za gospodarsko in politično sodelovanje. To jim pomaga pri skupnem razvoju.
💡 Okoljska opomba: Žal se tu hitro krči tropski deževni gozd zaradi plantaž palmovega olja in drugih gospodarskih dejavnosti.
Tri zgodbe uspeha - Japonska, Kitajska, Indija
Japonska je post-industrijska velesila z visoko tehnologijo, vendar se spopada s staranjem prebivalstva. Tu že imajo negativen naravni prirastek! So parlamentarna monarhija z močno demokracijo.
Kitajska deluje po socialistično tržnem sistemu - komunistična stranka vodi državo, gospodarstvo pa je tržno usmerjeno. Sooča se z ogromnim onesnaženjem in socialnimi neenakostmi med mesti in podeželjem.
Indija je največja demokracija na svetu z mladim prebivalstvom in visoko rodnostjo. Ima mešano gospodarstvo z močnim storitvenim sektorjem, a še vedno pomembnim kmetijstvom.
💡 Za test: Ne pozabi - Azija NI homogena celina! Razlike med državami so ogromne, zato generalizacije niso dovoljene.
Ključni izzivi in povzetek
Glavni izzivi Azije so prenaseljenost, revščina, okoljski problemi, politična nestabilnost in naravne nesreče. Vsaka regija se spopada s svojimi specifičnimi problemi.
Reke kot so Jangce, Ganges, Ind in Mekong so bile zibelke velikih civilizacij in so še danes ključne za življenje milijonov ljudi. Brez njih si ne moremo predstavljati azijskega kmetijstva.
