Plant Cells and Bacterial Cells
Plant cells are like animal cells with superpowers - they have everything animal cells possess, plus three extra structures. The cell wall made of cellulose provides strength and support, whilst the permanent vacuole stores cell sap and maintains the plant's shape.
Chloroplasts are the game-changers that allow photosynthesis to occur, enabling plants to make their own food from sunlight. These extra parts help plants stay rigid and produce energy independently.
Prokaryotic cells like bacteria are completely different - they're smaller and much simpler. Instead of a proper nucleus, bacterial cells have a single loop of DNA floating freely. They also contain plasmids, which are small rings of extra DNA.
Remember: The cell theory states that all living things are made of cells, cells are life's basic units, and new cells only come from existing cells!
