Kaj je Past Simple in kdaj ga uporabljamo
Past Simple rabiš za dejanja, ki so se začela in končala v preteklosti. Dogodek je popolnoma zaključen! Pogosto ga boš srečal z besedami kot so yesterday, last week, two days ago ali in 2010.
Pri Past Simple ločimo med pravilnimi glagoli (Regular verbs) in nepravilnimi glagoli (Irregular verbs). Pravilni glagoli v pretekliku dobijo končnico -ed (work → worked), medtem ko imajo nepravilni glagoli svojo posebno obliko (go → went).
💡 Nasvet: Če v povedi vidiš besede kot "yesterday", "last..." ali "...ago", je to skoraj vedno znak za Past Simple!
Osnovna oblika (infinitive) je glagol brez končnic. To obliko rabiš pri nikalnih in vprašalnih povedih, tudi če gre za nepravilen glagol.
Pravilni in nepravilni glagoli
Pravilni glagoli so enostavni - samo dodaš -ed. Vendar pazi na posebna pravila za pisanje! Če se glagol konča na -e, dodaš samo -d (live → lived). Če se konča na soglasnik + y, spremeniš y v i in dodaš -ed (study → studied).
Pri kratkih glagolih z enim samoglasnikom in soglasnikom na koncu podvojiš zadnji soglasnik (stop → stopped, plan → planned).
Nepravilni glagoli so bolj zahtevni, ker imajo svoje posebne oblike. Najpogostejših moraš znati na pamet: be → was/were, go → went, see → saw, have → had, make → made.
💡 Nasvet: Naredi si kartončke za učenje nepravilnih glagolov - to je edini način, da si jih zapomniš!
Trdilne in nikalne povedi
Trdilne povedi so preproste: osebek + glagol v pretekliku + ostalo. Primer: "She visited her grandma" ali "They went to the beach".
Pri nikalnih povedih pa moraš biti previden! Uporabiš didn't + glagol v osnovni obliki. Ko uporabiš didn't, se glagol vrne v osnovno obliko - ne dodajaš več -ed in ne uporabljaš nepravilne oblike.
Pravilno: "She didn't visit her grandma" in "They didn't go to the beach". Nikoli ne piši "didn't visited" ali "didn't went" - to je najpogostejša napaka!
💡 Pozor: Ko vidiš "didn't", se glagol vedno vrne v osnovno obliko. To velja za vse glagole razen "be"!
Vprašalne povedi in kratki odgovori
Vprašalne povedi začneš z Did + osebek + glagol v osnovni obliki + ostalo. Tudi tu se glagol vrne v osnovno obliko: "Did she visit her grandma?" in "Did they go to the beach?"
Kratki odgovori so enostavni: "Yes, she did" ali "No, she didn't". Vedno uporabiš "did" ali "didn't" v odgovoru.
Glagol "be" je posebnost! Ne uporablja "did" ali "didn't". Ima svoje oblike: was (za I, he, she, it) in were (za you, we, they). Nikalna oblika: wasn't in weren't. Vprašanje: "Was I tired?" in "Were they at home?"
💡 Ključno: Glagol "be" je edina izjema - ne rabi pomožnega glagola "did"!
Povzetek in nasveti za test
