Folgen des Ermächtigungsgesetzes
Das Ermächtigungsgesetz 1933 hatte weitreichende Folgen für die deutsche Demokratie und Gesellschaft. Es ermöglichte die vollständige Entmachtung des Parlaments, indem es der Regierung unter Hitler erlaubte, Gesetze ohne Zustimmung des Reichstags zu erlassen. Dies bedeutete das Ende der Gewaltenteilung zwischen Exekutive, Legislative und Judikative.
Die Regierung konnte nun Gesetze verabschieden, die von der Weimarer Verfassung abwichen, was zur Außerkraftsetzung von Grundrechten führte. In der Folge wurden die Länder gleichgeschaltet, die Presse zensiert und Gewerkschaften sowie andere Parteien verboten. Die Nationalsozialisten sicherten sich so die absolute Macht in Deutschland.
Beispiel: Die Auflösung der Länder (heute Bundesländer) und das Verbot der SPD waren direkte Folgen des Ermächtigungsgesetzes.

Das Ermächtigungsgesetz für Kinder erklärt bedeutet, dass Hitler und seine Partei die Macht bekamen, alle Entscheidungen allein zu treffen, ohne dass andere Politiker mitbestimmen konnten. Dies war ein entscheidender Schritt zur Errichtung der Diktatur und beendete die Demokratie in Deutschland.
Hintergrund und Abstimmung über das Ermächtigungsgesetz
Das Ermächtigungsgesetz vom 24. März 1933, offiziell "Gesetz zur Behebung der Not von Volk und Reich", war ein entscheidender Schritt zur Errichtung der NS-Diktatur. Nach Hitlers Ernennung zum Reichskanzler am 30. Januar 1933 wurden rasch Grundrechte eingeschränkt und politische Gegner verhaftet. Der Reichstagsbrand am 27. Februar 1933 diente als Vorwand für weitere Repressionen. Um seine Macht zu festigen, ließ Hitler am 24. März 1933 im Reichstag über das Ermächtigungsgesetz abstimmen.
Die Abstimmung fand in der Krolloper in Potsdam statt, da das Reichstagsgebäude beschädigt war. 26 SPD-Abgeordnete und 81 KPD-Abgeordnete konnten nicht teilnehmen, da sie verhaftet oder ihre Mandate annulliert worden waren. SA- und SS-Mitglieder waren anwesend, um die Parlamentarier einzuschüchtern. Trotz dieser Umstände stimmten alle Parteien außer der SPD für das Gesetz.
