Moderne Kunstströmungen des 20. Jahrhunderts
Die Kunst des 20. Jahrhunderts war geprägt von einer Vielzahl innovativer Strömungen, die mit traditionellen Darstellungsformen brachen und neue Ausdrucksmöglichkeiten erforschten.
Der Expressionismus (1900-1920) zeichnete sich durch eine künstlerische Reduzierung von Objekten auf geometrische Figuren aus. Bedeutende Vertreter dieser Strömung waren Vincent van Gogh, August Macke, Max Beckmann und Ernst Ludwig Kirchner.
