La grossesse : de la fécondation à la naissance
Tu te demandes comment un bébé se forme ? Tout commence lors d'un rapport sexuel quand des millions de spermatozoïdes remontent jusqu'aux trompes pour retrouver l'ovule. Un seul d'entre eux réussit à entrer dans l'ovule, c'est la fécondation !
Six jours plus tard, cette cellule-œuf devient un embryon qui s'accroche à la paroi de l'utérus (la nidation). C'est à ce moment que les règles s'arrêtent - le premier signe de grossesse. Pendant les 8 premières semaines, tous les organes du bébé se forment comme par magie.
À partir de la 9ème semaine, l'embryon devient un fœtus. Ses organes sont maintenant en place et vont grandir jusqu'à la naissance. Le placenta joue un rôle crucial : il permet au bébé de recevoir la nourriture et l'oxygène du sang de sa mère tout en évacuant ses déchets.
Bon à savoir : Pendant la grossesse, tout ce que mange, boit ou fume la mère peut affecter le bébé. C'est pourquoi l'alcool, les drogues et certains médicaments sont interdits !
Lors de l'accouchement, le bébé sort généralement tête en bas. La poche des eaux se perce, l'utérus se contracte et pousse le bébé vers la sortie. Une fois né, on coupe le cordon ombilical et le placenta est expulsé.
La contraception permet aux femmes de choisir quand avoir un enfant. Les trois moyens principaux sont la pilule (et autres méthodes hormonales), le stérilet et le préservatif. En cas d'urgence, il existe la pilule du lendemain, mais elle doit rester exceptionnelle.
