GCSE Spanish Adjectives and Descriptive Words

Essential Spanish Descriptive Vocabulary
Food descriptions are brilliant for everyday conversations! Words like delicioso (delicious), sabroso (tasty), and picante (spicy) will help you talk about meals naturally. Don't forget dulce (sweet) and salado (salty) - these pop up constantly in speaking exams.
When discussing transport, you'll need cómodo (comfortable), rápido (fast), and seguro (safe). Atestado (crowded) is particularly useful for describing busy buses or trains during rush hour.
Describing your town becomes easy with words like histórico (historic), tranquilo (calm), and moderno (modern). Ruidoso (noisy) is perfect for talking about city centres or busy areas.
For describing people, master trabajador (hardworking), divertido (funny), and listo (clever). These personality adjectives are exam favourites and help you sound more sophisticated than just saying "nice" or "good".
Top Tip: Practice using these adjectives with different nouns - the more you mix and match, the more natural your Spanish will sound!

Photo Description and Location Skills
Photo descriptions follow a simple formula: P.A.L.M. - Physical description, Actions, Location, Mood, and Atmosphere. Start with phrases like "En la foto" (in the photo), "Hay" (there is), or "Veo" (I see) to begin confidently.
Actions are straightforward once you know the pattern. Está comiendo , está bebiendo (drinking), and está hablando (talking) are your go-to verbs. Remember: add '-n' to está when describing what multiple people are doing - están comiendo means "they are eating".
Location words like enfrente (in front of) and detrás de (behind) help you pinpoint exactly where things are happening. Combine these with places like una biblioteca (library), un parque (park), or un restaurante (restaurant).
Weather and mood complete your descriptions perfectly. Use hace sol (it's sunny), hace frío (it's cold), or llueve (it's raining) for atmosphere. For emotions, contento/a (happy), triste (sad), and nervioso (nervous) cover most situations you'll encounter.
Exam Strategy: Always describe what you can see clearly first, then add your opinions using phrases like "Diría que está..." .

The app is very easy to use and well designed. I have found everything I was looking for so far and have been able to learn a lot from the presentations! I will definitely use the app for a class assignment! And of course it also helps a lot as an inspiration.
This app is really great. There are so many study notes and help [...]. My problem subject is French, for example, and the app has so many options for help. Thanks to this app, I have improved my French. I would recommend it to anyone.
Wow, I am really amazed. I just tried the app because I've seen it advertised many times and was absolutely stunned. This app is THE HELP you want for school and above all, it offers so many things, such as workouts and fact sheets, which have been VERY helpful to me personally.
