Photo Description and Location Skills
Photo descriptions follow a simple formula: P.A.L.M. - Physical description, Actions, Location, Mood, and Atmosphere. Start with phrases like "En la foto" (in the photo), "Hay" (there is), or "Veo" (I see) to begin confidently.
Actions are straightforward once you know the pattern. Está comiendo he/sheiseating, está bebiendo (drinking), and está hablando (talking) are your go-to verbs. Remember: add '-n' to está when describing what multiple people are doing - están comiendo means "they are eating".
Location words like enfrente (in front of) and detrás de (behind) help you pinpoint exactly where things are happening. Combine these with places like una biblioteca (library), un parque (park), or un restaurante (restaurant).
Weather and mood complete your descriptions perfectly. Use hace sol (it's sunny), hace frío (it's cold), or llueve (it's raining) for atmosphere. For emotions, contento/a (happy), triste (sad), and nervioso (nervous) cover most situations you'll encounter.
Exam Strategy: Always describe what you can see clearly first, then add your opinions using phrases like "Diría que está..." Iwouldsayhe/sheis....
