Life After Death in Judaism

Ever wondered what Jews believe happens when you die? Unlike some religions, Judaism doesn't have one clear-cut answer, which actually makes it quite fascinating to explore.

Most Jews believe that good people will enter Gen Eden (Paradise), whilst others go to Sheol - a place where souls are cleansed rather than punished forever. What's interesting is that there's no detailed description of what Paradise actually looks like, leaving room for personal interpretation.

When it comes to judgement and resurrection, Jews hold different views. Some believe God judges you immediately after death, whilst others think there's a future Day of Judgement when everyone will be assessed together. Reform Jews take a different approach - they believe everyone should work together to achieve peace rather than waiting for one person. They still believe in a Messianic age, but one achieved through collective human action.
