What are the 3 main different branches of Christianity?

The trinity: Gid the father, God the son and The holy spirit

Incarnation is when God became a human in the form of Jesus: "becoming flesh"

"She was found to be pregnant through the Holy Spirit"

Crucifixion is when Jesus was put on the cross for being the son of God

Jesus: "Father, into your hands I commit my spirit."

•Jesus' sacrifice on the cross gives hope to Christians that their sins will be forgiven if they sincerely repent.                 •God understands human suffering.         •Christians accept suffering is apart of life

Resurrection was when Jesus came back to life after hanging on the cross and dieing. There would be no Christian faith without the resurrection.

Ascension is when Jesus rose up to heaven after being resurrected. This took place 40 days after the resurrection.

"But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead..."

Corinthians quotation about resurrection:

"While he was blessing them, he left and was taken up to heaven"

•Shows the power of good over evil and life over death.                                          •Means Christians' sins will be forgiven if they follow god's laws.                           •Means Christians will be resurrected if they accept Jesus, so there is no need to fear death.

• Shows Jesus is with God in heaven.       • Paves the way for God to send the Holy spirit to provide comfort and guidance.

•They will be resurrected and receive eternal life.                                                 • Will be judged by God-Sent to heaven or hell.

What is the main beliefs about afterlife?

Judgement is when God will judge a person on their behaviour and actions during their lifetime, as well as their faith in Jesus as God's son.

" I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

Heaven is thought to be either a physical place or spiritual state of peace, joy, freedom of pain and a chance to be with loved ones

Purgatory is an intermediate state where souls are cleansed in order to enter heaven. This is a catholic belief.

Hell is the opposite of heaven. Is often pictured as a place if eternal torment.

A sin is a wrongdoing which separates humans from God

The Ten Commandments: e.g "You shall not kill" and "You shall not commit adultery"

"In the same way, faith by itself, if not accompanied by action, is dead"

"For it is by grace you have been saved..."

Ephesians quotation about salvation and grace:

Atonement is the removal of the effects of sin and allows people to restore their relationship with God.
