You'll find this Gothic horror poster fascinating because it shows how films reflected social changes in the 1960s. Hammer Productions was already famous for monster movies by 1963, and they knew exactly how to grab audiences' attention with familiar horror elements.
The media language here is absolutely crucial for your exam understanding. That capitalised serif font isn't just decorative - it looks deliberately wooden (think coffins and stakes), whilst the blood dripping from the 'V' creates a clear fang motif.
