Graniastosłup, ostrosłup i stożek
Graniastosłup to figura, która ma dwie identyczne podstawy połączone prostokątami. Wyobraź sobie pudełko zapałek - ma dwie jednakowe podstawy (góra i dół) oraz boczne ściany w kształcie prostokątów. Wysokość graniastosłupa to odległość między podstawami.
Ostrosłup wygląda jak piramida z filmów o faraonach! Ma jedną podstawę (wielokąt) i wszystkie ściany boczne to trójkąty, które spotykają się w jednym punkcie na górze. Ten punkt to wierzchołek ostrosłupa.
Stożek przypomina rożek do lodów - ma okrągłą podstawę (koło) i jeden wierzchołek na górze. Wszystko między podstawą a wierzchołkiem to gładka powierzchnia boczna.
Wskazówka: Jeśli figura ma dwie podstawy - to graniastosłup lub walec. Jeśli ma jedną podstawę i wierzchołek - to ostrosłup lub stożek.

Walec to jak puszka po napoju - ma dwie okrągłe podstawy (koła) połączone zakrzywioną powierzchnią boczną. Podstawy są równoległe i identyczne. Wysokość walca to odległość między tymi podstawami.
