Renesansa in barok – Umetniška gibanja skozi čas

Uvod v renesanso in barok
Vidiš, kako je umetnost skočila iz srednjega veka v povsem novo dimenzijo? Renesansa in barok predstavljata revolucionarno spremembo v razmišljanju - namesto da bi bil v ospredju le Bog, so umetniki postavili v središče človeka.
Renesansa pomeni "ponovno rojstvo" in je trajala od 14. do 16. stoletja. Umetniki so se zgledovali po antični Grčiji in Rimu ter razvili humanizem - filozofijo, ki poslavlja človeka in njegove sposobnosti.
Barok je sledil renesansi (17. do 18. stoletje) in prinesel dramatičnost, močna čustva ter svetlo-temno tehniko. Beseda naj bi prihajala iz portugalščine in pomeni "nepravilen biser" - kar lepo povzame njegovo pretiravanje.
Ključno: Renesansa = človek v središču, barok = čustva v ospredju!
Primerjava glavnih značilnosti
Tu je finta - najbolje si zapomniš razlike, če ju primerjaš neposredno! Kompozicija v renesansi je mirna in trikotna (kot pri Sveti družini), v baroku pa dinamična in diagonalna.
Prostor v renesansi uporablja linearno perspektivo, kjer se vse linije stekajo v eno točko. Barok pa ustvarja občutek neskončnega prostora, kjer se dogajanje širi celo izven okvirja slike.
Najbolj očitna je razlika v svetlobi - renesansa uporablja enakomerno, jasno osvetlitev, barok pa dramatične kontraste med svetlimi in temnimi deli. Čustva so v renesansi zadržana in dostojanstvena, v baroku pa pretirana in ganljiva.

Začela se je v Firencah v Italiji, kjer so umetniki postali pravi znanstveniki! Preučevali so človeško anatomijo - Leonardo je celo seciral trupla, da je razumel delovanje mišic in kosti.
Linearna perspektiva je bila njihova velika iznajdba - vse vzporedne linije se na sliki stikajo v točki izginjanja na horizontu. To ustvari občutek globine, kot da gledaš skozi okno v resničen prostor.
Zračna perspektiva posnema učinek atmosfere - predmeti v daljavi so bledi, manj ostri in modrikasti. Kombinacija obeh tehnik je ustvarila najrealistične slike v zgodovini umetnosti.
Praktičen nasvet: Na testu pozorno poglej kompozicijo - če je trikotna in mirna, gre za renesanso!

Barok je bil tesno povezan s katoliško cerkvijo, ki je po reformaciji želela s spektakularno umetnostjo privabiti vernike nazaj. Zato je vse valovito, zvito in napeto - obleke vihrajo, telesa so v zapletenih pozah.
Rafaelova "Atenska šola" je popoln primer renesanse - filozofi v simetrični postavitvi, popolna perspektiva in slavlje človeškega znanja. Vse je urejeno in harmonično.
Caravaggijeva "Spreobrnitev Savla" pa prikazuje baročno dramatičnost - Savel leži na tleh, zaslepljen od božanske svetlobe. Svetlo-temno tehnika ustvari ogromno napetost, diagonale pa občutek gibanja.
Za test: Če vidiš močne kontraste svetlobe in senc, gre za barok!
