Ključni pojmovi i heroji ratova
Da razumeš grčko-persijske ratove, moraš da znaš ko su bili glavni igrači u ovoj drami!
Polis je bio grad-država u Staroj Grčkoj, kao što su Atina ili Sparta. Svaki polis je imao svoju vojsku i svoje zakone. Hopliti su bili grčki ratnici sa velikim okruglim štitovima i kopljima, a kada su stajali zajedno u falangi, bili su skoro nezaustavljivi. Trijera je bila vrsta brzog ratnog broda sa tri reda veslača.
Od persijskih careva, najvažniji su Darije I koji je počeo prvi napad na Grčku, i njegov sin Kserks koji je vodio još veći pohod. Sa grčke strane, imamo Miltijada - atinskog vojskovođu koji je pobedio u Maratonskoj bici, Leonidu - spartanskog kralja heroja, i Temistoklea - pametnog Atinjana koji je smislio kako da pobedi persijsku flotu.
Zapamti: Herodot je bio grčki istoričar koji je zapisao sve ove priče - zovu ga "otac istorije"!
Prvi persijski pohod - Maratonska bitka
Car Darije je bio ljut na Atinjane jer su pomogli grčkim gradovima u Joniji koji su se pobunili protiv Persije. Odlučio je da ih kazni!
- godine pre nove ere, persijska vojska se iskrcala na Maratonskom polju, blizu Atine. Persijanci su imali mnogo više vojnika od Grka. Ali atinski vojskovođa Miltijad je bio pametan - ojačao je krila svoje vojske i kada su se hopliti sukobili sa Persijancima u borbi prsa u prsa, grčka falanga je bila jača.
Grci su ostvarili neverovatnu pobedu! Legenda kaže da je vojnik Filipid trčao 42 kilometra od Maratona do Atine da javi vest o pobedi. Kada je stigao, rekao je "Pobedili smo!" i umro od iscrpljenosti.
Zanimljivost: Po Filipidu se danas trči maraton na Olimpijskim igrama - tačno 42,195 kilometara!
Drugi persijski pohod - Termopili i Salamina
Kserks, Darijev sin, bio je još odlučniji da pokori Grčku. Skupio je ogromnu vojsku i mornaricu - možda najveću koju je svet video!
Bitka kod Termopilskog klanca (480. p.n.e.) je najherojskija priča celog rata. Spartanski kralj Leonida sa svojih 300 Spartanaca i oko 7000 drugih Grka branio je uski klanac tri dana. Nažalost, izdajnik Efijalt je pokazao Persijancima tajni put. Leonida je poslao većinu vojske da se povuče, a sa svojim Spartancima se borio do smrti.
Prava prekretnica bila je bitka kod Salamine. Atinjanin Temistokle je bio genijalan - namamio je ogromne persijske brodove u uski moreuz gde se nisu mogli kretati. Brze grčke trijere su ih tukle kao na vašaru! Kserks je gledao kako mu se flota uništava.
Ključno: Posle Salamine, Persijanci su izgubili kontrolu nad morem i morali su da se povlače!
Kraj ratova i posledice
Bitka kod Plateje (479. p.n.e.) je bila poslednja velika bitka. Spartanac Pausanija je vodio grčku vojsku do konačne pobede. Persijanci su konačno proterani iz Grčke!
Ova pobeda je promenila tok istorije. Grci su sačuvali svoju slobodu, demokratiju i kulturu. Da su Persijanci pobedili, svet bi danas možda bio potpuno drugačiji!
Posle ratova, Atina je postala najmoćniji grčki polis i stvorila Delski savez - savez gradova za odbranu od Persije. To je bio početak "Zlatnog doba Atine" kada su nastala najveća dela grčke umetnosti i filozofije.
Najvažnija lekcija: Iako su bili malobrojniji i podeljeni, Grci su pobedili jer su se borili za svoju domovinu i slobodu, a imali su i pametne vođe!
Ono što moraš da znaš za test
Za kontrolni zapamti ovaj redosled od četiri ključne bitke: Maraton (pobeda Grka), Termopili (herojski poraz), Salamina , Plateja (konačna pobeda).
Glavni uzrok rata je bio jonski ustanak i persijska želja za širenjem. Bilo je dva velika pohoda - prvi pod carem Darijem, drugi pod Kserksomom.
Glavne ličnosti koje moraš da znaš: Leonida , Temistokle , Miltijad , Darije i Kserks (persijski carevi).

This apps acc the goat. I find revision so boring but this app makes it so easy to organize it all and then you can ask the freeeee ai to test yourself so good and you can easily upload your own stuff. highly recommend as someone taking mocks now
