Unsolved Case: The Mystery of Jack the Ripper

Jack the Ripper: Why He Was Never Caught
Back in 1888, Jack the Ripper terrorised Whitechapel by murdering five women, and the case remains unsolved to this day. However, it wasn't entirely the police's fault that this notorious killer escaped justice.
The investigation was absolutely swamped with false leads - over 300 letters and postcards arrived claiming to be from the murderer himself. Imagine having to sift through all of those whilst trying to solve actual murders! The police actually went to incredible lengths, even setting up soup kitchens to attract poor locals who might have witnessed something, then questioning them whilst they ate.
They followed up on every possible clue, including visiting jewellers to see if rings stolen from one victim's finger had been sold anywhere. The sheer volume of evidence and false information made their job nearly impossible with Victorian-era resources.
Quick Fact: The police were so desperate for leads that they questioned people at soup kitchens, showing just how difficult this case really was!

When Police Methods Went Wrong
Unfortunately, some police failures definitely didn't help catch the Ripper. Rivalry between different police forces caused major problems - one crucial piece of evidence was actually wiped away by officers who didn't want competing forces to use it. Talk about putting egos before justice!
The timing was particularly embarrassing when two murders happened on the same evening. Despite having officers patrolling the streets after the first murder, they still completely failed to prevent or witness the second killing.
Some of their methods were downright bizarre - officers dressed up as prostitutes to try and lure the killer out, whilst others wore rubber strips on their boots to sneak around quietly. They even wanted to use sniffer dogs but refused to pay the owners properly, so the dog handlers simply wouldn't cooperate with the investigation.
Remember This: The Jack the Ripper case shows how important proper police cooperation and funding are for solving serious crimes!

The app is very easy to use and well designed. I have found everything I was looking for so far and have been able to learn a lot from the presentations! I will definitely use the app for a class assignment! And of course it also helps a lot as an inspiration.
This app is really great. There are so many study notes and help [...]. My problem subject is French, for example, and the app has so many options for help. Thanks to this app, I have improved my French. I would recommend it to anyone.
Wow, I am really amazed. I just tried the app because I've seen it advertised many times and was absolutely stunned. This app is THE HELP you want for school and above all, it offers so many things, such as workouts and fact sheets, which have been VERY helpful to me personally.
