Henry VIII's Break from Rome

You've probably heard that Henry VIII had six wives, but there's so much more to this story that shaped England forever. Henry VIII became king in 1509 and married Catherine of Aragon, but when she only gave him a daughter in 1516, he panicked about having no male heir.

When Henry asked Pope Clement VII for a divorce in 1527, the Pope refused because the Catholic Church believed marriage was for life. This rejection infuriated Henry, so he made a bold move that changed English history - he broke away from Rome completely.

Parliament passed the Act of Supremacy in 1531, making Henry the Supreme Head of the Church in England. By 1533, he'd married Anne Boleyn (who he later executed in 1536), and by 1536, the Church of England was totally separate from Europe.

Henry didn't just want religious independence - he wanted money and power too. He dissolved over 800 monasteries, seizing all their wealth to fund his army and personal ambitions. The first English translation of the Bible was published during this time, making religious texts accessible to ordinary English people for the first time.

Quick Fact: Henry's six wives were Catherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn, Jane Seymour, Anne of Cleves, Catherine Howard, and Catherine Parr - remember them with "divorced, beheaded, died, divorced, beheaded, survived"!

The app is very easy to use and well designed. I have found everything I was looking for so far and have been able to learn a lot from the presentations! I will definitely use the app for a class assignment! And of course it also helps a lot as an inspiration.

This app is really great. There are so many study notes and help [...]. My problem subject is French, for example, and the app has so many options for help. Thanks to this app, I have improved my French. I would recommend it to anyone.

Wow, I am really amazed. I just tried the app because I've seen it advertised many times and was absolutely stunned. This app is THE HELP you want for school and above all, it offers so many things, such as workouts and fact sheets, which have been VERY helpful to me personally.
