Prehľad a základné pojmy
Chceš rozumieť Afrike? Začni s týmito základnými pojmami, ktoré ti pomôžu zorientovať sa v tejto fascinujúcej téme.
Podnebie je dlhodobý stav počasia na nejakom mieste - napríklad v Afrike je väčšinou horúce. Počasie sa mení zo dňa na deň, ale podnebie zostává rovnaké roky.
Rovníková oblasť je pás okolo rovníka, kde je vždy veľmi teplo a často prší. Púšť je naopak veľmi suchá - cez deň horúco, v noci môže byť zima. Savana má vysokú trávu s roztrúsenými stromami a striedajú sa tam obdobia sucha a dažďov.
💡 Tip na zapamätanie: Čím bližšie k rovníku, tým viac tepla a dažďa!
Podnebné pásma Afriky
Afrika leží väčšinou v teplom pásme, preto tam slnko svieti skoro kolmo na zem. Rozdeľuje sa do štyroch hlavných podnebných pásiem.
Rovníkové podnebie nájdeš okolo rovníka - stále je tam veľké teplo a každý deň prší. Vzduch je vlhký ako v skleníku a rastú tam husté dažďové pralesy.
Subrovníkové podnebie má dve obdobia - keď prší a keď neprší. Teploty zostávajú vysoké a nájdeš tam savany plné levov, žiráf a zebier. Tropické podnebie je najsuchšie - vznikajú tam púšte ako Sahara, kde prší veľmi málo. Subtropické podnebie na severe a juhu je najmierne.
💡 Zapamätaj si: Rovník = teplo + dážď, ďalej od rovníka = sucho + púšte!
Najdôležitejšie rieky Afriky
Voda je v Afrike vzácna, ale nájdeš tam aj obrovské rieky, ktoré sú životne dôležité pre milióny ľudí.
Níl je najdlhšia rieka Afriky a tečie z juhu na sever do Stredozemného mora. Bez neho by Egypt neexistoval - prináša vodu na zavlažovanie polí v púšti. Kongo má najviac vody zo všetkých afrických riek a preteká cez dažďové pralesy.
Niger má zaujímavý tvar písmena "U" - najprv tečie na sever, potom sa stáča na juh. Zambezi je slávne vďaka Viktóriiným vodopádom a tečie do Indického oceánu.
💡 Nezabudni: Níl = Egypt, Kongo = pralesy, Zambezi = vodopády!
Najväčšie jazerá Afriky
Africké jazerá sú obrovské a každé má svoje osobitosti, ktoré si musíš zapamätať na test.
Viktóriino jazero je najväčšie jazero v Afrike a druhé najväčšie sladkovodné jazero na svete! Je jedným z prameňov rieky Níl. Tanganika je veľmi dlhé a hlboké s unikátnymi druhmi rýb.
Malawi (tiež nazývané Njasa) je známe svojimi rybami. Čadské jazero má jeden veľký problém - jeho veľkosť sa mení podľa toho, či prší alebo nie, a bohužiaľ sa zmenšuje.
V púštnych oblastiach nájdeš vádí - to sú suché korytá riek, ktoré sa naplnia vodou len občas po silnom daždi. Oázy sú miesta v púšti, kde je podzemná voda.
💡 Tip: Viktóriino = najväčšie, Čadské = mení veľkosť!
Život v rôznych podnebných pásmach
Predstav si, ako by si žil v rôznych častiach Afriky - pomôže ti to lepšie pochopiť podnebie a vodstvo.
V púšti Sahara by si musel hľadať oázy s vodou a datľovými palmami. Ľudia tam žijú ako nomádi - sťahujú sa za vodou na ťavách, ktoré vydržia dlho bez pitia. Domy stavajú z hrubých materiálov na ochranu pred horúčavou.
Rieka Níl je pre Egypt všetko - bez nej by tam nebolo života. Poskytuje pitnú vodu, zavlažuje polia a slúži na dopravu. Už starovekí Egypťania pri nej stavali pyramídy.
Savana vs dažďový prales: V savane žijú známe africké zvieratá ako levy a žirafy, má obdobia sucha a dažďov. Prales je hustý, stále vlhký a plný opíc a papagájov.
