Marley's Ghost: The Ultimate Warning

Ever wondered what happens when money becomes your only obsession? Marley's ghost shows you exactly that consequence through his heavy chain of cash-boxes, keys, padlocks, ledgers, deeds and heavy purses. This chain isn't just decoration - it's a powerful symbol of how his greed literally weighs him down for eternity.

Dickens makes Marley absolutely terrifying on purpose. The ghost gives off an "infernal" (hellish) atmosphere with clothes that seem "agitated as by hot vapour from an oven", creating vivid links to hell and eternal suffering. The dehumanising animalistic language - describing the chain "wound about him like a tail" - shows how his selfish behaviour has stripped away his humanity.

Scrooge's reaction tells you everything about Marley's impact. When faced with this supernatural horror, Scrooge falls upon his knees and clasps his hands before his face. The "chilling influence of Marley's death-cold eyes" creates such fear that it forces Scrooge to listen - and this is where his transformation truly begins.

Key insight: Notice how Scrooge can't finish saying "humbug" about Marley's warning - this shows he's already starting to change and lose his negative outlook on life.

The app is very easy to use and well designed. I have found everything I was looking for so far and have been able to learn a lot from the presentations! I will definitely use the app for a class assignment! And of course it also helps a lot as an inspiration.

This app is really great. There are so many study notes and help [...]. My problem subject is French, for example, and the app has so many options for help. Thanks to this app, I have improved my French. I would recommend it to anyone.

Wow, I am really amazed. I just tried the app because I've seen it advertised many times and was absolutely stunned. This app is THE HELP you want for school and above all, it offers so many things, such as workouts and fact sheets, which have been VERY helpful to me personally.
