Writing Formats Guide
Formal letters are all about showing respect and professionalism. When you don't know the person's name, start with "Dear Sir/Madam" or "To Whom It May Concern" and end with "Yours faithfully". If you do know their name, use "Dear " and sign off with "Yours sincerely".
