GCSE English Language Paper 1 Structure
This exam tests your ability to analyse non-fiction texts and write effectively for different purposes. You'll work with two texts - the first for questions 1-3, and the second for questions 4-6, before tackling a major writing task.
The reading section builds from simple evidence-finding (Q1) to complex evaluation questions (Q6). Each question type has a specific approach and mark allocation, so knowing what examiners want is crucial for success.
Your final challenge is transactional writing worth 40 marks - nearly half your total score. This could be a letter, speech, blog post, or article, so you need to be ready for any format.
Top Tip: Always check which text area you need to focus on for each question - it's clearly specified and ignoring this instruction costs marks!

This apps acc the goat. I find revision so boring but this app makes it so easy to organize it all and then you can ask the freeeee ai to test yourself so good and you can easily upload your own stuff. highly recommend as someone taking mocks now
