Schreibung der s-Laute
Wusstest du, dass es ganz einfache Tricks gibt, um ss oder ß richtig zu schreiben? Du musst nur auf den Vokal davor hören!
Nach einem kurzen Vokal schreibst du immer "ss" - wie bei "der Fluss" oder "die Masse". Klingt der Vokal dagegen lang oder ist es ein Diphthong (Doppellaut wie "au", "ei", "eu", "äu"), dann kommt das "ß" zum Einsatz - zum Beispiel bei "der Fuß" oder "die Maße".
Das stimmlose s erkennst du daran, dass es wie ein Zischen klingt. Du findest es vor Konsonanten (Durst, Westen), am Wortende (Gas, Maus) oder am Wortanfang vor p und t (Spannung, staubig). Das stimmhafte s summt dagegen wie eine Biene und steht am Wortanfang (Salz, sonnig) oder in der Wortmitte (Hose, Wiese).
Geheimtipp: Mach die Verlängerungsprobe! Bei "Maus → Mäuse" hörst du das stimmhafte s und weißt: Es wird nur mit einem s geschrieben.
Auch bei "das" oder "dass" gibt's einen coolen Trick: Kannst du das Wort durch "dieses", "jenes" oder "welches" ersetzen, schreibst du "das". Geht das nicht, ist es die Konjunktion "dass".
