Substituția Radicalică
Substituția radicalică este o reacție în care atomii sunt înlocuiți prin intermediul radicalilor liberi - particule reactive cu electroni nepereche. Un exemplu tipic este reacția dintre brom și pentan.
Această reacție are trei etape esențiale. Prima este inițierea, când molecula de brom se descompune sub acțiunea luminii sau căldurii formând radicali: Br₂ → 2Br•. Urmează propagarea, când radicalii de brom atacă pentanul, producând acid bromhidric și un radical pentil. În final, în etapa de terminare, radicalii reacționează între ei formând compuși stabili.
⚡ Observație importantă: Substituția radicalică este deseori declanșată de factori externi precum lumina sau căldura și poate genera mai mulți produși secundari.
Alchene
Alchenele sunt hidrocarburi cu cel puțin o legătură dublă carbon-carbon, având formula generală CₙH₂ₙ. Aceste molecule sunt nesaturate, ceea ce înseamnă că pot participa în diverse reacții adăugând noi atomi la structura lor.
Proprietățile Alchenelor și Alchinelor
Alchenele prezintă izomerie geometrică deoarece legătura dublă nu permite rotația liberă a atomilor. Acest lucru face ca aceste molecule să existe în configurații diferite în spațiu, cu proprietăți distincte.
Printre cele mai importante alchene se numără etena (C₂H₄), propena (C₃H₆) și but-1-ena (C₄H₈). Toate aceste hidrocarburi participă în reacții de adiție, când moleculele "deschid" legătura dublă pentru a adăuga noi atomi.
Alchinele sunt hidrocarburi cu cel puțin o legătură triplă carbon-carbon, având formula generală CₙH₂ₙ₋₂. Primul reprezentant este etina (acetilena), urmată de propină și but-1-ină. Spre deosebire de alchene, alchinele prezintă un caracter acid slab.
🔍 Știai că? Acetilena (etina) este folosită la sudură datorită temperaturii extrem de ridicate pe care o generează la ardere, ajungând la peste 3000°C!

Alcoolii sunt compuși organici care conțin grupa hidroxil atașată la un atom de carbon saturat. Ei au formula generală CₙH₂ₙ₊₁OH și structura lor le conferă proprietăți speciale.
Datorită prezenței legăturilor polar covalente C-O și O-H, alcoolii pot forma legături de hidrogen, ceea ce explică multe dintre proprietățile lor fizice, precum punctele de fierbere ridicate. Ei prezintă și rotație liberă în jurul legăturilor simple C-C și C-O.
Cei mai cunoscuți alcooli includ metanolul (CH₃OH), etanolul (C₂H₅OH) și propan-1-olul (C₃H₇OH). Etanolul este componenta activă din băuturile alcoolice, în timp ce metanolul este toxic pentru om chiar și în cantități mici.
🧪 Atenție! Deși etanolul și metanolul au structuri similare, efectele lor asupra organismului sunt dramatic diferite - metanolul poate cauza orbire sau chiar deces când este ingerat.
