Nomenclatura Alcanilor Ramificați și Tipuri de Hidrocarburi
Denumirea corectă a alcanilor ramificați urmează reguli sistematice precise. Mai întâi, identificăm catena principală (cea mai lungă succesiune de atomi de carbon). Apoi, identificăm și denumim ramificațiile laterale, numerotând catena astfel încât substituenții să primească numere cât mai mici.
Pentru substituenți multipli folosim ordonarea alfabetică și prefixele di-, tri-, tetra-, penta- când același substituent apare de mai multe ori. Aceste reguli asigură o denumire unică și clară pentru fiecare compus organic, indiferent de complexitatea sa.
Hidrocarburile se clasifică în trei categorii principale, fiecare având o formulă generală specifică: alcanii precum metanul (CH4), alchenele (CnH2n) precum etena (C2H4), și alchinele precum etina (C2H2).
⚡ Reține! Fiecare tip de hidrocarbură are un grad diferit de saturație, alcanii fiind complet saturați (doar legături simple), alchenele având cel puțin o legătură dublă, iar alchinele având cel puțin o legătură triplă.
Forțe Intermoleculare și Reacții de Ardere
Forțele intermoleculare determină proprietățile fizice ale compușilor organici precum punctele de fierbere și solubilitatea. Cele mai slabe sunt forțele van der Waals, prezente între molecule nepolare ca alcanii. Mai puternice sunt forțele dipol-dipol, care apar între molecule polare.
Cele mai puternice forțe intermoleculare sunt legăturile de hidrogen, care se formează între molecule ce conțin atomi de H legați de O, F sau Cl. Acestea explică proprietățile deosebite ale compușilor precum apa sau alcoolii.
Alcanii participă la reacții de ardere, care pot fi complete sau incomplete. În arderea completă, cu oxigen suficient, rezultă dioxid de carbon și apă . În arderea incompletă, cu oxigen insuficient, se formează monoxid de carbon și apă .
🔥 Atenție! Arderea incompletă este periculoasă deoarece produce monoxid de carbon, un gaz toxic, incolor și inodor care poate cauza intoxicații severe.
Temperatura de Fierbere și Proprietăți
Uneori, compuși cu forțe intermoleculare considerate mai slabe pot avea temperaturi de fierbere mai mari decât cei cu forțe puternice. De exemplu, decanul are o temperatură de fierbere mai ridicată decât apa, deși apa formează legături de hidrogen puternice iar decanul doar forțe van der Waals slabe.
Acest fenomen aparent contradictoriu se explică prin numărul de interacțiuni care trebuie depășite. Moleculele mari de decan dezvoltă un număr mare de forțe van der Waals, a căror sumă depășește efectul legăturilor de hidrogen din apă, care sunt mai puține.
