Metody a techniky oddělování směsí látek

Mechanické metody oddělování
Filtrování je asi nejjednodušší způsob, jak oddělit nerozpustné částice od kapaliny. Funguje to stejně jako když si děláš kávu - voda projde filtrem, ale kávová sedlina v něm zůstane. Filtr prostě zachytí všechno, co se v kapalině nerozpustilo.
Prosévání používáš pokaždé, když chceš oddělit větší kusy od menších. Větší částice zůstanou v sítu a menší propadnou skrz - třeba když oddělujete kamínky od písku nebo mouky.
Ruční třídění je úplně nejjednodušší metoda - prostě vyberem to, co nechci. Používá se hlavně tam, kde dokážeš jednotlivé složky dobře rozeznat očima.
Tip: Filtrování funguje jen na nerozpustné látky - sůl nebo cukur filtrem projdou!
Sedimentace, dekantace a odstřeďování
Sedimentace znamená nechat směs v klidu, aby se těžší částice usadily na dně nádoby. Je to jako když necháš zakalou vodu stát - špína se postupně usadí dole a nahoře bude čistší voda.
Dekantace následuje hned po sedimentaci. Opatrně sleješ čistou kapalinu z vrchu, zatímco usazenina zůstane na dně. Musíš být opatrný, aby ses do usazeniny nedostal.
Odstřeďování funguje jako odstředivka v pračce - rychlé otáčení vytvoří sílu, která odtlačí těžší látky směrem ven. V laboratoři se tak oddělují třeba různé složky krve nebo se z mléka získává smetana.
Zajímavost: Odstřeďování dokáže urychlit proces, který by sedimentací trval hodiny!
Tepelné a chemické metody
Odpařování využívá teplo k tomu, aby se kapalina (většinou voda) přeměnila na páru a odešla. Zůstanou po ní jen pevné látky, které byly rozpuštěné - například sůl z mořské vody.
Destilace je složitější proces, který dokáže oddělit i různé kapaliny od sebe. Využívá toho, že každá látka se vaří při jiné teplotě. Směs se zahřeje, odpařuje se postupně a pak se páry zase ochladí zpátky na kapalinu.
Extrakce funguje na principu "podobné rozpouští podobné". Přidáš takové rozpouštědlo, které rozpustí jen tu látku, kterou chceš získat. Ostatní složky zůstanou nerozpuštěné.
Absorpce používá speciální materiály (jako aktivní uhlí), které dokážou zachytit nečistoty na svém povrchu. Proto fungují plynové masky nebo filtry na čištění vody.
Pro test: Zapamatuj si, že destilace odděluje látky podle bodu varu!
Shrnutí a volba správné metody
Každá metoda funguje na jiném principu a hodí se na jiný typ směsi. Filtrování použiješ na nerozpustné částice, prosévání na částice různých velikostí, destilaci na kapaliny s různými body varu.
Klíčové je poznat vlastnosti látek ve směsi - jejich velikost, rozpustnost, hustotu nebo bod varu. Podle toho si vybereš tu nejlepší metodu.
V praxi se často kombinuje víc metod najednou. Například při čištění vody se může použít sedimentace, filtrace i absorpce současně.
Praktický tip: Pro test si zapamatuj hlavní využití každé metody - často se ptají na konkrétní příklady!
