Hücreler bölünerek çoğalır ve bu sayede canlılar büyür, gelişir ve kendini onarabilir. Bu bölünme süreci, vücudumuzda her an gerçekleşen karmaşık ama düzenli bir sistemdir.
Hücre bölünmesi, hem tek hücreli organizmalarda çoğalmayı sağlar hem de çok hücreli canlılarda doku yenilenmesi ve üreme gibi hayati fonksiyonları yerine getirir.
Bu konu, biyolojinin en temel konularından biridir ve genetik bilginin nasıl korunduğunu ve aktarıldığını anlamamıza yardımcı olur.

Hücre Döngüsü
Hücre bölünmesi, aslında hücre hayat döngüsünün sadece bir aşamasıdır. Bir hücre bölünmeye başlamadan önce bir dizi hazırlık sürecinden geçer ve tüm bu aşamalar birlikte hücre döngüsü olarak adlandırılır.
Hücre döngüsü dört ana evreden oluşur. G₁ Evresinde hücre büyür ve bölünme için gerekli proteinleri üretir. S Evresinde DNA kopyalanır, böylece yeni oluşacak hücrelere tam bir genetik bilgi aktarılabilir. G₂ Evresinde hücre son hazırlıklarını yapar ve bölünmeye hazır hale gelir.

Bunu bilmek önemli: Vücudunda her saniye yaklaşık 2-3 milyon hücre bölünüyor! Bu döngü durduğunda veya kontrolsüz hale geldiğinde kanser gibi hastalıklar ortaya çıkabilir.
Mitoz Bölünme
Mitoz bölünme, vücut (somatik) hücrelerinin bölünme şeklidir ve sonucunda ana hücreyle genetik olarak aynı olan iki yeni hücre oluşur. Bu bölünme tipi büyüme, gelişme ve doku onarımında kritik rol oynar.
Mitoz bölünme beş ana aşamada gerçekleşir. Profaz aşamasında DNA yoğunlaşarak kromozomları oluşturur ve çekirdek zarı erimeye başlar. Metafazta kromozomlar hücrenin ortasında düzenli bir şekilde sıralanır ki bu, genetik materyalin eşit dağılımı için çok önemlidir.
Anafaz sırasında kromozomlar birbirinden ayrılarak hücrenin karşıt kutuplarına çekilir. Telofazda, kromozomların etrafında yeni çekirdek zarları oluşur ve kromozomlar gevşeyerek eski haline döner. Son olarak sitokinez ile sitoplazma bölünerek iki yeni hücre oluşur.
Hayatla bağlantı kur: Yaralandığında derideki hücreler mitoz bölünmeyle çoğalarak yaranı kapatır. Aynı şekilde büyüme süreci boyunca kemik iliğin, sürekli mitoz bölünmeyle yeni kan hücreleri üretir!
Mayoz Bölünme
Mayoz bölünme, üreme hücrelerini (sperm ve yumurta) oluşturan özel bir bölünme tipidir. Bu süreçte kromozom sayısı yarıya iner ve genetik olarak birbirinden farklı dört hücre oluşur, bu da genetik çeşitlilik sağlar.
Mayoz bölünme, Mayoz I ve Mayoz II olmak üzere iki aşamada gerçekleşir. Mayoz I'deki en önemli olay, Profaz I sırasında gerçekleşen krossing-overdir. Bu sırada homolog kromozomlar arasında genetik materyal değişimi olur ve bu, genetik çeşitliliğin temelini oluşturur. Anafaz I'de homolog kromozomlar ayrılarak kromozom sayısı yarıya iner.
Mayoz II, mitozdakine benzer bir süreçtir ancak DNA replikasyonu olmadan gerçekleşir. Anafaz II'de kardeş kromatitler birbirinden ayrılır. Sonuçta, ana hücrenin yarısı kadar kromozom içeren dört yeni hücre oluşur.
