Cell Structure Basics
Every animal cell contains four essential components that keep it alive and functioning. The nucleus acts like the cell's control centre, storing all the genetic information (DNA) that tells the cell what to do. Think of it as the brain of the cell.
The cytoplasm is a jelly-like substance where most of the cell's chemical reactions happen - it's basically the cell's workspace. The cell membrane works like a selective barrier, deciding what substances can enter or leave the cell.
Finally, mitochondria are the powerhouses that release energy through respiration, giving the cell the fuel it needs to survive. These four parts work together to keep animal cells functioning properly.

Plant Cell Structure
