Cell Structure and Organelles
Your body is made up of trillions of tiny cells, each one like a miniature factory working non-stop. These eukaryotic cells (found in animals and plants) all share three essential parts: a cell membrane, nucleus, and cytoplasm.
Think of organelles as the different departments in this cellular factory - each one has a specific job to keep the cell running smoothly. Just like how a school has different rooms for different subjects, cells have different organelles for different functions.
The cytoplasm is the jelly-like substance that fills most of the cell. This is where loads of important chemical reactions happen - it's basically the cell's workspace where all the action takes place.
Quick Tip: Remember that eukaryotic cells are like tiny cities - they're organised with different areas doing different jobs!
Your cell membrane acts like a selective bouncer at a club. It controls what can come into the cell and what needs to leave, keeping the good stuff in and the harmful stuff out.
