Understanding Cardiovascular Disease
Ever wondered what happens when your heart's "fuel lines" get clogged? Cardiovascular disease occurs when fatty deposits build up in your arteries, creating dangerous blockages that restrict blood flow.
Coronary heart disease is the most serious form of this condition. Your heart muscle needs a constant supply of oxygen through the coronary arteries, but when these vital blood vessels become blocked, your heart cells can't get the oxygen they need to function properly.
