Structura Nucleului și ADN-ul
Nucleul reprezintă centrul de control al celulei, fiind înconjurat de o membrană dublă cu pori care permit schimbul de substanțe. În interior găsim nucleoplasma, care conține materialul genetic (cromatină) și nucleolul. Nucleul există fie în stare interfazică (cromatină dispersată pentru accesul la informația genetică), fie în stare de diviziune (cromatina condensată formând cromozomi).
ADN-ul are o structură de dublă elice asemănătoare unei scări răsucite. Montanții scării sunt formați din dezoxiriboză și grupări fosfat, iar treptele din perechi de baze azotate complementare. Un nucleotid - unitatea de bază a ADN-ului - conține o moleculă de dezoxiriboză, o grupare fosfat și o bază azotată (Timină, Adenină, Guanină sau Citozină). Între Adenină și Timină se formează două legături de hidrogen, iar între Guanină și Citozină trei legături.
Codul genetic reprezintă sistemul de codificare a informației genetice pentru sinteza proteinelor. Este bazat pe secvențe de trei nucleotide (codoni) care codifică aminoacizii. Caracteristicile principale ale codului genetic includ universalitatea (același în majoritatea organismelor), degenerarea (mai mulți codoni pot specifica același aminoacid) și nesuprapunerea (codonii nu se suprapun).
💡 Știai că? Codonul AUG are dublă funcție: este codonul de start pentru inițierea sintezei proteinelor și codifică aminoacidul metionină!
ARN și Replicarea ADN-ului
ARN-ul (acidul ribonucleic) există în trei forme principale în celulă, fiecare cu un rol specific în sinteza proteinelor. ARNm (mesager) transportă informația genetică de la ADN la ribozomi, ARNt (de transfer) aduce aminoacizii la ribozomi pentru sinteza proteinelor, iar ARNr (ribozomal) este o componentă structurală esențială a ribozomilor.
Replicarea ADN-ului este procesul crucial prin care materialul genetic este copiat pentru a fi transmis celulelor fiice. Acest proces semiconservativ asigură că fiecare moleculă nouă de ADN conține un lanț vechi și unul nou sintetizat. Replicarea începe cu desfacerea dublului helix de către enzima helicază, formând furca de replicare. Apoi, are loc sinteza noilor lanțuri de ADN pe baza complementarității bazelor, rezultând două molecule identice de ADN.
