A membrana biológica é essencial para todas as células, delimitando-as e permitindo a troca controlada de substâncias com o meio externo. Ela só pode ser visualizada com microscópio eletrônico, mas está presente tanto em células procarióticas quanto eucarióticas.
O citoplasma é o líquido transparente que preenche o interior da célula, composto principalmente por água, substâncias dissolvidas e proteínas. É nele que ocorrem as principais reações metabólicas e onde encontramos as diversas organelas celulares.
A parede celular é exclusiva das células vegetais e possui duas camadas: a primária (elástica, com pectina e celulose) e a secundária (mais rígida, com celulose e lignina). Ela confere forma e proteção à célula, permitindo trocas de substâncias através de estruturas chamadas plasmodesmos.
💡 Curiosidade: Embora o núcleo seja visível ao microscópio óptico comum, muitas outras organelas só podem ser observadas com microscópios eletrônicos de alta potência!
Os ribossomos são as "fábricas de proteínas" da célula. Podem ser encontrados livres no citoplasma ou aderidos às membranas do retículo endoplasmático. Eles traduzem as informações genéticas e montam as proteínas a partir de aminoácidos.
O retículo endoplasmático forma uma rede de canais envolvidos por membranas. Existem dois tipos: o liso (sem ribossomos), responsável pela síntese de lipídios, e o rugoso (com ribossomos), que atua na produção de proteínas.
O complexo de Golgi é formado por compartimentos achatados empilhados que processam, empacotam e direcionam substâncias produzidas pela célula. É como o "centro de distribuição" celular, modificando proteínas e formando vesículas para transporte.
⚠️ Atenção! As estruturas de armazenamento como lisossomos, peroxissomos e vacúolos têm funções vitais na célula: os lisossomos digerem materiais, os peroxissomos desintoxicam a célula e os vacúolos (maiores nas células vegetais) armazenam substâncias.

Nas plantas também encontramos outros tipos de plastos especializados: os cromoplastos, responsáveis pela coloração em flores e frutos, e os leucoplastos, que são incolores e funcionam como estruturas de armazenamento de substâncias.
