Budowa i wytwory skóry
Twoja skóra składa się z trzech głównych warstw, z których każda ma swoje specjalne zadania. Naskórek to zewnętrzna warstwa zbudowana z dwóch części - martwej warstwy zrogowaciałej, która się złuszcza, oraz żywej warstwy rozrodczej z melanocytami chroniącymi przed UV.
Skóra właściwa to najgrubsza warstwa pełna włókien kolagenowych, naczyń krwionośnych i receptorów czucia. To tutaj znajdują się wszystkie ważne struktury odpowiedzialne za odczuwanie dotyku i regulację temperatury.
Tkanka podskórna składa się głównie z komórek tłuszczowych zwanych adipocytami. Grubość tej warstwy zależy od płci, diety i metabolizmu - stąd różnice w budowie ciała między ludźmi.
Skóra wytwarza też wiele przydatnych struktur: włosy chronią przed środowiskiem, paznokcie wzmacniają czucie dotyku, a gruczoły łojowe i potowe dbają o nawilżenie i chłodzenie ciała. Gruczoły mlekowe u kobiet produkują pokarm dla niemowląt.
💡 Ciekawostka: Melanocyty w skórze działają jak naturalny krem z filtrem - produkują ciemny barwnik melaninę, który blokuje szkodliwe promieniowanie UV!
Funkcje skóry i synteza witaminy D
Skóra pełni siedem kluczowych funkcji w organizmie. Funkcja termoregulacyjna działa przez pocenie się i rozszerzanie naczyń krwionośnych - dlatego czerwienisz się, gdy jest gorąco. Funkcja ochronna to bariera przed bakteriami, urazami i utratą wody dzięki keratynom i niskiemu pH.
