Minulý čas prostý (Past Simple) - Pravidelné a nepravidelné slovesá

Čo je minulý jednoduchý čas a prečo ho potrebujem
Predstav si, že chceš kámoške povedať, čo si robil cez víkend - presne na to používaš minulý jednoduchý čas. Je to tvoj nástroj na rozprávanie o všetkom, čo sa už stalo a skončilo.
Najdôležitejšie je pochopiť, že máme dva typy slovies. Pravidelné slovesá sú "poslušné" - len im pridáš -ed na koniec a máš hotovo. Napríklad play sa zmení na played.
Nepravidelné slovesá sú trochu zradné, pretože sa menia úplne po svojom. Napríklad go sa zmení na went. Tieto si musíš zapamätať, ale neboj sa - nie je ich až tak veľa!
💡 Tip: Keď vidíš slová ako yesterday, last week alebo ago, takmer určite budeš potrebovať minulý čas!
Ako tvoriť kladné vety
S pravidelným slovesami je to jednoduché - väčšinou len pridáš -ed. Ale pozor na pár výnimiek! Ak sloveso končí na -e, pridáš len -d (ako live → lived).
Keď sloveso končí na spoluhlásku + -y, zmeníš y na i a pridáš -ed. Takže study sa zmení na studied. Pri krátkych slovesách ako stop zdvojíš poslednú spoluhlásku: stopped.
Nepravidelné slovesá si musíš jednoducho zapamätať. Najčastejšie sú: go → went, have → had, see → saw, eat → ate. Znie to strašne, ale keď ich budeš používať, zapamätáš si ich rýchlo!
💡 Pozor: Sloveso read v minulom čase sa píše rovnako (read), ale vyslovuje sa inak!
Záporné vety a otázky
Pre záporné vety používaš pomocné sloveso did + not, čo sa skracuje na didn't. Najdôležitejšie je, že hlavné sloveso sa vráti do základného tvaru. Takže I played football sa zmení na I didn't play football.
Pri otázkach dávaš Did na začiatok vety a opäť používaš základný tvar slovesa. You watched TV sa zmení na Did you watch TV?
Krátke odpovede sú jednoduché: Yes, I did alebo No, I didn't. To platí pre všetky osoby.
💡 Kľúčové pravidlo: Keď používaš did alebo didn't, hlavné sloveso je vždy v základnom tvare - did už "nesie" tú minulosť!
Sloveso "to be" je výnimočné
Sloveso "to be" (byť) má svoje vlastné pravidlá a nepoužíva did. Pre jednotné číslo (I, he, she, it) používaš was, pre množné číslo (we, you, they) používaš were.
Záporné tvary sú wasn't a weren't. Pri otázkach jednoducho dáš was alebo were na začiatok: Was he busy? alebo Were you there?
Je to vlastne jednoduchšie ako u ostatných slovies, pretože nemusíš myslieť na žiadne did!
💡 Zapamätaj si: To be je rebel - má svoje vlastné pravidlá a ignoruje did!
Praktické príklady na precvičenie
Pozrime si, ako to funguje v praxi. S pravidelným slovesom visit: I visited my grandparents (kladná), I didn't visit my grandparents (záporná), Did you visit your grandparents? (otázka).
S nepravidelným slovesom go: She went to the cinema (kladná), She didn't go to the cinema (záporná), Did she go to the cinema? (otázka). Všimni si, že v zápore a otázke sa went vráti na go.
So slovesom to be: We were tired (kladná), We weren't tired (záporná), Were you tired? (otázka). Žiadne did nikde!
💡 Tip na úspech: Skús si každý deň povedať tri vety o tom, čo si robil včera - rýchlo si to osvojíš!
Čo si zapamätať na test
Najdôležitejšie pravidlá: Pravidelné slovesá + -ed, nepravidelné sa učia naspamäť. V záporných vetách a otázkach používaj did/didn't a sloveso v základnom tvare.
Sloveso "to be" má vlastné pravidlá: was/were, bez did. Časové výrazy ako yesterday, last week, ago ti napovedajú, že ide o minulý čas.
Dávaj pozor na pravopisné zmeny pri -ed (study → studied, stop → stopped). A nezabudni - keď je tam did, hlavné sloveso je vždy v základnom tvare!
💡 Záverečný tip: Minulý čas nie je ťažký, len potrebuje trochu cvičenia. Čím viac ho budeš používať, tým prirodzenejší bude!
