指数関数・対数関数のグラフと性質

指数関数と対数関数って、数学の中でも特に「グラフが全て」って言えるほどビジュアルが大切な分野だよね。この2つの関数は互いに逆関数の関係にあって、直線y=xに関して対称になってるんだ。底の値が1より大きいか小さいかで、グラフの向きが決まるのがポイント！

指数関数$y=a^x$と対数関数$y=log_a x$ は互いに逆関数の関係にある。これはグラ
フで考えると、直線$y=x$に関して対称になるということ。この関係性を理解す
ることが一番大事。グラフの形は底$a

基本的な性質と定義

指数関数と対数関数は、底aの値によってグラフの形が決まるよ。特に、a>1の場合と0<a<1の場合で全然違う形になるから、この区別が超重要！

指数関数 y=aˣ は定義域が実数全体で、値域は正の実数全体。必ず点(0,1)を通って、漸近線はy=0になる。なぜなら、a⁰=1だし、xがマイナス無限大に向かうとyは0に近づくからね。

対数関数 y=log_a x は定義域が正の実数全体（これが真数条件！）で、値域は実数全体。必ず点(1,0)を通って、漸近線はx=0。log_a 1=0だから点(1,0)を通るのは当たり前だよね。

覚えておこう！ 底が1より大きいと右上がり、1より小さいと右下がりになるよ。

グラフの詳しい特徴

指数関数のグラフを見てみよう。a>1の場合（例：y=2ˣ）は、xが増えるとyが急激に増加する。逆に0<a<1の場合（例：y=(1/2)ˣ）は、xが増えるとyが減少していく。

面白いことに、y=(1/2)ˣ = 2⁻ˣなので、これはy=2ˣのグラフをy軸に関して対称移動したものと同じ形になるんだ。

対数関数のグラフも同じように考えられる。a>1の場合は緩やかに増加、0<a<1の場合は減少する。そして、xが0に近づくと、yは無限大や無限小に向かっていく。

テスト対策！ 漸近線の位置は必ず確認しよう。指数関数はy=0、対数関数はx=0だよ。

逆関数の関係性

ここが一番のキモ！指数関数と対数関数は互いに逆関数だから、グラフは直線y=xに関して対称になってる。

これって実用的にも役立つよ。指数関数の点(p,q)があれば、対数関数では点(q,p)に対応する。例えば、y=2ˣが点(3,8)を通るなら、y=log₂xは点(8,3)を通るってわけ。

定点も対応してる：指数関数の(0,1)↔対数関数の(1,0)。漸近線も対応：指数関数のy=0↔対数関数のx=0。この対称性を理解すれば、片方のグラフが分かればもう片方も自動的に分かるよね。

裏技！ グラフ問題で困ったら、対称性を使って考えてみて。

平行移動の例題

実際の問題でよく出るのが平行移動したグラフ。例えば、y=2ˣ⁻¹+1のグラフを考えてみよう。

これは基本形y=2ˣを右に1、上に1移動したもの。だから定点(0,1)は(1,2)に移動して、漸近線y=0はy=1に移動する。確認してみると、x=1のとき y=2¹⁻¹+1=2⁰+1=2 で、ちゃんと点(1,2)を通すよね。

平行移動のパターンを覚えておこう：

y=aˣ⁻ᵖ+q の漸近線は y=q
y=log_a $x-p$ +q の漸近線は x=p

基本形から「どこにどれだけ移動したか」を考える習慣をつければ、グラフ問題は楽勝！

コツ！ 移動後の定点と漸近線を最初に求めると、グラフが描きやすくなるよ。

不等式の解法

対数不等式って難しそうに見えるけど、実は底を揃えるのがコツ。例えば log₃x > log₁/₃x を解くとき、底の変換で log₁/₃x = -log₃x に変形できる。

すると log₃x > -log₃x → 2log₃x > 0 → log₃x > 0 → log₃x > log₃1 となって、底3は1より大きいから x>1 が答え。

大小比較の重要ルール：

a>1のとき：log_a M < log_a N → M < N（向きは同じ）
0<a<1のとき：log_a M < log_a N → M > N（向きが逆転）

これはグラフが増加関数か減少関数かを考えれば当たり前だよね。

絶対に忘れちゃダメ！ 真数条件 x>0 を最後に確認すること。
