英語の前置詞って難しそう？実は、3つの基本（in, on, at）をイメージで覚えるだけで、テストでもバッチリ使えるようになるんだ。「点→面→空間」の順番で理解すれば、もう迷わない！

前置詞ってなんだろう?

前置詞は、名詞や代名詞の前に置く言葉。文の中で「いつ」とか「どこで」み
たいな、場所や時、方向などを表すのにすごく大事な役割をする。これが正し
く使えないと、文の意味が全然ちがってしまうから、しっかり覚えないといけな
い。

前置詞の基礎知識

前置詞は名詞の前に置く小さな言葉だけど、文の意味を決める超重要な役割を持ってる。「いつ」「どこで」を正確に伝えるために絶対に必要なんだ。

前置詞は必ず名詞とセットで使う。「in the park」「at seven o'clock」みたいに、前置詞の後には必ず名詞か代名詞が来るよ。

基本の3つ「in」「on」「at」は、「広い→せまい」の順番で覚えよう。inが一番広くて、atが一番せまい「点」のイメージだ。

覚えるコツ: 単語だけじゃなくて「at the station」みたいに、うしろの名詞とセットで覚えると効果的！

場所を表す前置詞の使い分け

場所を表すときは、その場所を「点」「面」「空間」のどれで見るかが大事。これができれば、もうテストも怖くない！

atは点のイメージ。地図上の一点や特定の場所を指すときに使う。「at the station」「at home」みたいに、その場所を待ち合わせ地点として見てる感じだね。

onは面に接しているイメージ。テーブルの上や壁など、何かの表面にくっついている状態を表す。「on the desk」「on the wall」って感じ。

inは空間の中のイメージ。建物の中や箱の中、都市や国など、立体的な空間や広い範囲を表すときに使うよ。

テスト対策: 乗り物も要注意！電車・バスは「on」、車・タクシーは「in」を使う。

時を表す前置詞の使い分け

時を表すときも、場所と同じように「点の時間」「特定の日」「長い期間」かで使い分ける。カレンダーをイメージすると分かりやすいよ。

atは時刻など、一点の時間。「at 7:30」「at noon」のように、具体的な時刻を指すときに使う。時間のピンポイントって感じだね。

onは特定の日や曜日。カレンダーの「1マス」に当たる部分で、「on Sunday」「on May 5th」みたいに使う。

inは月・季節・年など、長い期間。カレンダーの「1枚」や「全部」に当たる感じで、「in summer」「in 2024」って使うよ。

例外注意: 「朝・昼・夕方」は「in」だけど、「夜」だけは「at night」！これは覚えるしかない。

実践的な使い分けテクニック

実際の文でどう使うかを練習してみよう。パターンを覚えれば、応用問題もスラスラ解けるようになる！

場所の例文：「There is a picture on the wall.」壁の表面にかかっているから「on」。「I play soccer in the park.」公園という空間の中だから「in」だね。

時の例文：「My school starts at 8:30.」時刻だから「at」。「We have a test on Friday.」特定の曜日だから「on」。「My brother was born in 2010.」年だから「in」。
