中和滴定の基本概念
君たちが使っている中和滴定は、濃度がハッキリわかっている溶液（標準溶液）を使って、濃度不明の溶液の正確な濃度を調べる方法なんだ。中和点で酸のH⁺と塩基のOH⁻がちょうど同じ物質量になる。
重要な用語をサクッと覚えよう。標準溶液は濃度が正確にわかっている溶液で、滴定の終点は指示薬の色変化で判断する実験上のポイントだ。理想的には中和点にできるだけ近い点を選ぶのがコツ。
実験器具も要チェック！ビュレットで標準溶液を精密に滴下し、ホールピペットで測定する溶液を正確に測り取る。メスフラスコは標準溶液の調製に使うよ。
重要ポイント: ホールピペットとビュレットは「共洗い」が必須。でもコニカルビーカーは純水でぬれていてもOK。物質量が変わらないから、薄まっても中和に必要な滴下量は変わらないんだ。
実験操作と計算の基本
中和滴定の操作手順はシンプルで覚えやすい。まず濃度未知の溶液をホールピペットで正確に測り取り、コニカルビーカーに入れる。指示薬を1～2滴加えたら準備完了だ。
ビュレットに標準溶液を入れて、最初の目盛りを読んでおこう。溶液を振り混ぜながら少しずつ滴下して、色が変化して元に戻らなくなった点が終点だ。最後にビュレットの目盛りを読んで計算に進む。
中和反応の量的関係が計算のキモ！中和点では酸のH⁺と塩基のOH⁻の物質量が等しくなる。これを式で表すと：a×c×V = a'×c'×V' になる。ここでaは価数、cはモル濃度、Vは体積（mL）を表すよ。
この公式は絶対に暗記！体積の単位はmLのまま計算できるから、複雑な単位換算は不要だ。
中和滴定曲線の読み方
中和滴定曲線は、滴下量（横軸）とpH（縦軸）の関係を表したグラフだ。この曲線の形を見れば、使っている酸と塩基が強いか弱いかが一発でわかる。
強酸と強塩基の滴定では、中和点でpH=7になり、pHジャンプが大きくて幅も広い。だからメチルオレンジもフェノールフタレインも両方使える便利なパターンだ。
弱酸と強塩基の場合は要注意！中和点でpH>7（塩基性）になる。これは生成した塩が加水分解してOH⁻を出すからなんだ。pHジャンプは狭くなるので、フェノールフタレインが適している。
強酸と弱塩基は逆で、中和点でpH<7（酸性）になる。生成した塩がH₃O⁺を出すため。この場合はメチルオレンジを使おう。
覚え方のコツ: 中和点のpHが指示薬の変色域に入ることが選択の決め手。弱酸+強塩基なら塩基性だからフェノールフタレイン、強酸+弱塩基なら酸性だからメチルオレンジ！
計算問題の解き方
計算問題は基本の公式**a×c×V = a'×c'×V'**をマスターすれば怖くない！まずは物質の価数を正確に把握するのが成功の秘訣だ。
例えば硫酸H₂SO₄は2価の酸、水酸化ナトリウムNaOHは1価の塩基。シュウ酸(COOH)₂も2価の酸だから注意しよう。水酸化カルシウムCa(OH)₂や水酸化バリウムBa(OH)₂は2価の塩基だ。
計算手順はいつも同じ：①それぞれの価数・濃度・体積を整理、②公式に代入、③未知数を求める。体積の単位はmLのまま使えるから、わざわざLに直す必要はないよ。
練習問題をたくさん解けば、どんなパターンが出てきてもスラスラ解けるようになる。価数の間違いが一番多いミスだから、そこだけは絶対に気をつけて！
