what are the different movement types of joints?

when the angle at a joint decreases. this happens when the bones forming the joint move closer together.

cardiac muscle, voluntary and involuntary.

voluntary muscle are the skeletal muscles that attack via tendons to the skeleton to allow movement.  they are under conscious control and we move then when we want to.

involuntary muscles are found in blood vessels and the stomach and intestines. they contract slowly and rhythmically and are unconsciously controlled. they contract automatically when required by the body

when skeletal muscles work together to provide movements of the joints. when one muscle contracts another relaxes to create movement

what does the cardiovascular system consist of?

the medium that the gases, blood cells and nutrients are transported in.

circulates blood around the body by squeezing blood out to the blood vessels each time it beats.

so it carries oxygen to thr muscles and vital organs. oxygen us needed in energy production for physical activity.

carbon dioxide is a by- product during energy production. the blood takes carbon dioxide away from the muscles to get rid of it from the body

nutrients are broken down from thr food we eat and transported to the body in blood. athletes need macro- and micro nutrients in order to perform well.

they gather at the site if the opej wound and forming a plug to prevent blood loss

how do platelets in the blood clot open wounds?

when the body temperature rises the blood vessels increase in diameter (vasodilation) ti increase blood floe ti the capillaries under the surface of the skin so hear can radiate from the skin. when the body temperature drops the blood vessels decrease in diameter (vasoconstriction) to decrease blood flow to the capillaries under the surface if the skin so less heat is lost by radiation.

we get hot as heat is a by product of energy production or we get cold from low temperatures. the body attempt to keep a constant temperature. what happens when the body temperature rises and what happens when the body temperature drops?

the vena cava is the main vein bringing deoxoygenated blood back to your heart so it can be pumped to the lungs to collect oxygen

the aorta is the main artery and carries oxygenated blood away from the left ventricle to take oxygen to the working muscles 

the pulmonary artery receives deoxygenated blood from the right ventricle and take to the lungs to receive oxygen.

the pulmonary vein brings oxygenated blood from the lungs to the left atrium

which side of the septum is deoxygenated?

thick muscular and elastic walls, small internal diameter (lumen)

what is the term used for the redistribution of blood flow?

when blood is diverted away from inactive areas to the working muscles.

oxygen is attached to the red blood cells in the blood and carried to your active muscles

how do u get oxygen to your active muscles?

because blood can be shunted away from the stomach

why is it important for digestion to be complete before excercise
