Essential School Vocabulary & Grammar
Getting comfortable with Spanish school vocabulary opens doors to expressing your daily experiences and opinions. The core nouns like la biblioteca (library), los deberes (homework), and el recreo (break) form the foundation of school conversations. Descriptive adjectives such as aburrido/a (boring), divertido/a (fun), and fácil (easy) help you share genuine opinions about subjects.
The five essential verbs - hacer (to do), ser/estar (to be), tener (to have), and estudiar (to study) - appear constantly in school discussions. You'll notice these verbs change dramatically across different tenses, but don't worry - patterns emerge with practice.
Mastering verb conjugations across present, past, future, conditional, and imperfect tenses gives you the tools to discuss what you do now, what you used to do at primary school, and your future plans. Focus on the most common forms: yo (I), él/ella he/she, and nosotros/as (we).
Quick Tip: Start with present tense forms and gradually add other tenses - you don't need to memorise everything at once!
