Prepoziția 'a' are reguli specifice de utilizare în spaniolă ce trebuie memorate. Aceasta este obligatorie când ne referim la persoane sau animale de companie, dar nu se folosește cu obiecte.
De exemplu:
Conjuncția 'pero' (dar) exprimă contrast între idei și nu necesită virgulă înainte. Când folosești pero, introduci o idee care contrazice sau limitează prima propoziție, ca în exemplul: Mi padre vive en Alemania, pero es de España.
Pont util! Când construiești propoziții în spaniolă, gândește-te dacă obiectul direct este o persoană - dacă da, ai nevoie de 'a' înainte de acesta.
Conjuncția 'porque' (pentru că) introduce motivul sau explicația unei acțiuni și nu necesită virgulă înainte. De exemplu: Daniel es veterinario porque le gustan los animales.
Verbele reflexive sunt foarte frecvente în spaniolă și funcționează cu pronume reflexive specifice (me, te, se, nos, os, se). Aceste verbe au câteva reguli importante:
Pronumele reflexive rămân neschimbate chiar și când verbul este neregulat, ceea ce simplifică folosirea lor odată ce le-ai învățat.
Reține! Verbele reflexive sunt mult mai comune în spaniolă decât în română - multe acțiuni zilnice (a se trezi, a se spăla, a se îmbrăca) sunt exprimate reflexiv.
Gerunziul (gerundio) în spaniolă exprimă acțiuni în desfășurare sau simultane. Se formează adăugând terminațiile -iendo sau -ando la rădăcina verbului, de obicei cu verbul 'estar'.
Formula de bază este:
Gerunziul este ideal pentru descrierea imaginilor și pentru a exprima acțiuni care se întâmplă chiar în momentul vorbirii.
Adjectivele posesive indică cui îi aparține ceva și se acordă în gen și număr cu obiectul posedat. Cele mai importante forme sunt:
Atenție! Adjectivele posesive se acordă cu obiectul posedat, nu cu posesorul, exact ca în română.
