Factorisation by: its_rodela ♡ What is "Factorisation" ? Factorisation is simplifying and algebraic expression. The dictionary definition is writing the given expression as a product of its factors. Example? 3x+15x Factorisation Then we find the common factor between the "15" and "3x" (That's 3) 3(x+5) So the answer is 3(X+5) Why is learning Factorisation important? Factorisation may not seem important right now, but as you get older, topics in mathematics will get harder and factorisation will give a standard method for solving quadratic equations and simplifying complicated questions. You'll soon find it's saving you from answering a lot of difficult equations the long, complicated, hard way. D Learning and practicing are both equally important. As boring as it sounds, practice does make perfect, so set aside some time, take a notebook, and have a go at these practice questions. Practice Questions Factorise the following: 4X+2 (THE ANSWERS ARE ON THE NEXT PAGE) 6A+3X 5Y+3Y 9Z+18 Answers 20 1) The common item is 2, therefore the answer is 2(2x+1) 2) The common item this time is Y, yes they can be letters too, so, the answer is Y(5+3) 3) The common item is 3, therefore the answer is 3(2A+X) 4) The common item is 9, in this question, so the answer is 9(Z+2) its_rodela @its_rodela_from_skl If you found this helpful, follow me for more content I will be posting regularly
