Antes de meternos en faena, necesitas entender dos conceptos clave. El agente es quien realiza la acción de forma intencional (como "Los periodistas acusaron al testigo"). El tema o paciente es quien sufre o se ve afectado por la acción ("Tengo la gripe").
Los verbos inergativos tienen un sujeto que actúa como agente, es decir, hace algo intencionalmente. Verbos como llorar, bailar, jugar, trabajar, caminar y gritar son inergativos porque el sujeto controla la acción.
Por otro lado, los verbos inacusativos tienen un sujeto que funciona como paciente o tema. No controla la acción, sino que la experimenta. Ejemplos típicos son existir, llegar, aparecer, crecer, romperse, fundirse y nacer.
💡 Truco rápido: Si puedes preguntar "¿quién lo hace a propósito?", probablemente sea inergativo. Si es algo que simplemente "pasa", será inacusativo.

Existen siete pruebas específicas para reconocer si un verbo es inacusativo. Las primeras tres son súper útiles para tus exámenes.
La cláusula de participio absoluto funciona perfectamente con inacusativos: "Una vez llegada la desgracia, de nada sirve quejarse" suena natural, pero "Luchados los elefantes" suena raro porque "luchar" es inergativo.
Los verbos inacusativos aceptan sujetos sin determinante de manera más natural: "Me faltan motivos" es perfectamente correcto. Además, prefieren que el sujeto vaya después del verbo: "Sonríen personas" puede sonar extraño sin contexto.
Los participios de verbos inacusativos pueden funcionar como adjetivos: "Al rey muerto, rey puesto" es un ejemplo perfecto. Sin embargo, "El chico reído" suena fatal porque "reír" es inergativo.
⚠️ Cuidado: Estas pruebas no siempre son 100% fiables, pero son herramientas útiles para la mayoría de casos.

Las últimas cuatro pruebas completarán tu arsenal para distinguir estos verbos como un profesional.
La perífrasis "quedar por" funciona genial con inacusativos: "Quedan muchos niños por nacer" es natural, pero con inergativos suena extraño. Los verbos inergativos pueden transitivizarse añadiendo un complemento directo: "correr una maratón" o "bailar sevillanas".
También puedes usar sinónimos o hipónimos como complemento directo con inergativos: "bailar un baile" o "vivir una vida". Esto no funciona igual con inacusativos.
La prueba definitiva es que los verbos inacusativos no admiten construcción pasiva perifrástica. Puedes decir "Ana fue aplaudida" pero jamás "Ana fue adelgazada". Esta regla no falla prácticamente nunca.
🎯 Para el examen: La prueba de la pasiva perifrástica es la más segura. Si no puedes hacer la pasiva, es inacusativo.

Los adjetivos se clasifican en varios tipos que debes dominar para el bachillerato. Esta clasificación te será útil tanto para análisis sintácticos como para comentarios de texto.
Los adjetivos determinativos introducen y delimitan el sustantivo, indicando cuáles o cuántas entidades mencionamos: "ESTE coche", "ALGUNOS amigos", "TRES días". Incluyen demostrativos, posesivos, numerales e indefinidos.
Los adjetivos calificativos expresan cualidades, propiedades o características: suave, valiente, nervioso, magnético. También pueden indicar origen, relación o pertenencia como americano, materno o policial.
Los adjetivos relacionales son un subtipo especial que expresa relación o pertenencia específica. Se dividen en argumentales y clasificativos ("bebida alcohólica", "campaña publicitaria"). Tienen características muy específicas que los distinguen claramente.
📝 Nota importante: Los adjetivos relacionales nunca se anteponen al sustantivo ni admiten gradación como "muy" o "bastante".

Los adjetivos relacionales tienen reglas estrictas que debes memorizar. No admiten cuantificación ("bastante nacionales" es incorrecto), no son graduables ("muy vacuno" suena fatal), y siempre van detrás del sustantivo. Tampoco se coordinan con calificativos ni admiten complementos.
Los adjetivos adverbiales expresan conceptos similares a los adverbios: modo, tiempo, lugar. Se subdividen en varios tipos importantes para tus análisis.
Los modales expresan necesidad o posibilidad ("presunto asesino") y van antepuestos. Los marcadores de intención expresan singularidad y cambian de significado según su posición: "simple acuerdo" vs "acuerdo simple".
Los circunstanciales indican aspectos temporales ("próximas elecciones") mientras que los aspectuales modifican el significado temporal de sustantivos que denotan procesos ("frecuentes crisis").
🔄 Recuerda: También existen grados del adjetivo (positivo, comparativo, superlativo) y otros tipos como especificativos, explicativos y epítetos que ya conoces de cursos anteriores.
