Depends on expertise and money of large TNCs. They could withdraw investments at anytime. Most of the profits leave the country. If the oil prices fall so will Nigerias economy like in 2015.

invest in electricity and running water, training people, builds schools(3000 scholarships per year), 1/4 million people visit the heath clinics

Often near swamps which can lead to malaria (Niger Delta), a lot of profits leave Nigeria, flaring(burningof gas), Soka bunking fires - oil being stolen causing environmental damage to forests and swamps

Still trade with the UK but now mainly trade with the world's biggest economys eg USA, China and India, import most manufactured goods mostly from China, growing Chinese investors, Nigeria need infrastructure and  china need expertise, China needs more resources then it can provide and it finds these in countries such as Nigeria, in 2014 a Chinese corporation invested $10 billion in oil exploration and drilling in new oil fields in Nigeria.

For more the 15 years, nothing but nets has helped over 39 million people by providing bed nets and other life saving tools and advocating foe increased us leadership and funding for global malaria programs. This can improve people's quality of life.

commercial land has been degrading and deforested - loss of habitats and nearly 500 types of plants, farming and tin mining caused water pollution- chemicals  kill ecosystems in the river, oil spills eg Niger Delta - fires releasing co2 and other greenhouse gases, harmful gases can cause acid rain - harms plants and aquatic ecosystems, traffic emits huge amounts of greenhouse gases.
