Mastering Language and Structure Techniques
Every paragraph needs to pack a punch with two DAFOREST techniques - that's Direct address, Anecdote/alliteration, Facts, Opinion, Rhetorical questions, Emotive language, Statistics, or Triplets. Mix these up to keep your writing engaging and persuasive.
Big vocabulary matters too - aim for 1-2 sophisticated words per paragraph (like "edify" instead of "teach"). This shows maturity in your writing and impresses examiners.
Letters have specific formatting requirements: date in top right corner, proper greeting ("Dear..."), clear purpose statement ("I am writing to inform you..."), and appropriate sign-off ("Yours sincerely" if you know their name, "Yours faithfully" if you don't).
Remember: Include one structural technique like a powerful one-word sentence, cyclical structure, or direct address to make your writing stand out from the crowd.
Your counter-argument paragraph is crucial - acknowledge the opposing view briefly, then demolish it with stronger evidence. This shows sophisticated thinking and strengthens your overall argument.
