How Can I Develop a Revising Habit?

If you’re struggling to revise you might be like me, flashcards and mindmaps and other great tips that other people are giving really didn’t work for me. 

When i revise i have to be out of my bedroom, preferably even out of the entire house if i can and go to a coffee shop. It puts you in the right environment to just put earphones in and get on with it.

Secondly I take LOTS of breaks, I usually revise for 30 mins and take a 5 min break in which i fill up a glass of water or grab a small snack. After doing three 30 min sessions i take a 15 min break and then after that i’m total you’ve done 2 hrs of work.

The brain works by knowing there’s a reward, so in that 15 min break by grabbing a sweet snack or whatever you prefer it subconsciously motivates your brain. 

Lastly, I know everybody says it but don’t stress yourself out, it will make it worse in the long run.

What is the Best Revision Technique for Chemistry A Level?

heya !
personally id advise practice exam questions and looking at examiner reports - they really help in terms of perspective of your answers. i use the 3-pen-method (go through questions w no notes in one pen, another time w notes in a different colour and finally third colour w the markscheme) which helps show you what you really need to revise!
I also recommend Seneca as an online resource - it’s free and it’s very fun and easy to get through.
