Blood enters the heart via the right atrium, goes down through to the right ventricle, across to the left ventricle and then back out via the left atrium

The deoxygenated blood enters the heart through the vena cava into the right atrium. When the pressure in the right atrium increases, the tricuspid valve enters and the blood enters the right ventricle. As the pressure in the right ventricle increases, the tricuspid valve closes and the pulmonary valve opens forcing the blood to leave through the pulmonary artery. The blood goes to the lungs when is becomes oxygenated. once the blood is oxygenated, it returns to the heart via the pulmonary vein into the left atrium. As the pressure in the left atrium increases, the mitral valve opens and the blood flows from the atrium into the left ventricle. When the pressure in the ventricle increases the mitral valve closes and the aortic valve opens allowing the oxygenated blood to leave the heart through the aorta (under a high pressure) to deliver oxygenated blood around the body. Hope this helps.

Hiya, I’ve attached a picture which has a flow diagram on it! The best place to start is the vena cava (highlighted). Blue arrows = deoxygenated blood Red arrows = oxygenated blood AV valves = atrioventricular valves

Blood enters the right atrium from the inside, moves into the right ventricle and is pushed into the pulmonary arteries in the lungs. The blood travels back to the heart through the pulmonary veins into the left atrium, to the left ventricle and out the body’s tissues through the aorta.
