The Treaty of Versailles: Germany's Harsh Punishment
Ever wonder how one document could change an entire country's fate? The Treaty of Versailles did exactly that to Germany after WWI, and its effects were absolutely devastating.
Germany lost massive amounts of territory that had been theirs for generations. Posen and West Prussia were handed over to Poland, putting about a million Germans under foreign rule overnight. Even worse, this created a Polish Corridor that literally split Germany in two, cutting off East Prussia from the rest of the country like an island.
The military restrictions were equally brutal. Germany's once-mighty army was limited to just 100,000 men - basically a security force rather than a proper military. Their navy could only keep 6 battleships and 12 destroyers, whilst submarines were banned completely. Most shocking of all? Germany wasn't allowed an air force at all.
Reparations of £6.6 billion were demanded in 1921 - an absolutely enormous sum that would cripple Germany's economy for years. When you add it all up, Germany lost 10% of its population, 13% of its European territory, and nearly half of its iron reserves.
Key Point: These harsh terms made the German politicians who signed the treaty extremely unpopular at home, creating resentment that would later be exploited by extremist groups.

The app is very easy to use and well designed. I have found everything I was looking for so far and have been able to learn a lot from the presentations! I will definitely use the app for a class assignment! And of course it also helps a lot as an inspiration.
This app is really great. There are so many study notes and help [...]. My problem subject is French, for example, and the app has so many options for help. Thanks to this app, I have improved my French. I would recommend it to anyone.
Wow, I am really amazed. I just tried the app because I've seen it advertised many times and was absolutely stunned. This app is THE HELP you want for school and above all, it offers so many things, such as workouts and fact sheets, which have been VERY helpful to me personally.
