# How do I change my username or display name?

> Edit your username, display name and bio from your profile. Usernames are 3 to 20 characters of letters and numbers.

## Edit your profile

1. Open your profile.
2. Tap **Edit profile**.
3. Change your **Display name**, **Username** or **Bio** and save.

## Username rules

- 3 to 20 characters.
- Letters and numbers only. Spaces are removed and the name is stored in lower case.
- Each username is unique. If yours is taken, try a variation.

## Display name

The display name is what others see first on your profile and uploads. Accounts of younger users do not have a public display name for safety reasons.
