# Study plans and the timetable

> Build an exam study plan in a few taps and add your weekly timetable. Timetable import is rolling out gradually, so not every account has it yet.

## Exam study plans

1. Open **Study plans** from the home screen or the web app.
2. Add the exam, its date and the topics to cover.
3. Knowunity builds a day-by-day plan with practice steps.

Each section of a plan can hold up to ten steps. Free accounts can unlock unlimited steps through the referral offer shown in the app.

## Timetable

Add your lessons so that Knowunity can suggest what to study and remind you before class.

- Add lessons **manually** from the timetable screen.
- **Scan or upload** a photo or file of your timetable and Knowunity fills it in.
- Schools that use a supported platform can **import** the timetable.

Timetable import and scanning are being rolled out gradually. If the option is missing in your app, your account has not received it yet. Manual entry is always available.

## Change a lesson

Open the timetable, tap the lesson and edit the time, room or subject.

## Something is not working

Update the app first. If the plan does not generate or the timetable shows an error, report it through the [support form](https://knowunity.com/support) under *Technical problem* with a screenshot.
