# How do I reset my password?

> Tap Forgot password on the login screen, enter your email and open the link we send. The new password needs at least 8 characters.

## In the app

1. Open Knowunity and tap **Log in**.
2. Tap **Forgot password?** then **Reset it**.
3. Enter the email address of your account and send the request.
4. Open the link in the email and choose a new password with at least 8 characters.

## On the website

Go to [knowunity.com/auth/forgot-password](https://knowunity.com/auth/forgot-password), enter your email and follow the link we send.

## The link says invalid or expired

Reset links can only be used once and expire after a short time. Request a new one from the login screen and use the most recent email.

## No email arrives

- Check the spam or junk folder.
- Make sure you entered the address you registered with. An account created with Google or Apple has no password; sign in with that button instead.
- See *I did not receive the confirmation or password reset email* for more steps.

## Change your password while signed in

Open your profile, tap the gear icon, then **Account & privacy**, **Account & security** and choose the password option under **Sign-in**.
